Reflection & Toast

• The Reflection and Toast is the first item on the agenda and can set the tone for the meeting.
• Ask members to stand whether the meeting is Dinner or Boardroom format.
  
• The Reflection should relate to the theme of the day, as well as to Toastmasters in general (communication, leadership, personal growth, ...), our club in particular, or both.
• Pause for a couple seconds to allow a clear distinction between the end of the Reflection and the start of the Toast.
• The Toast should be a brief charging of glasses to a couple of words e.g. "to friendship."
• Be brief. The Reflection and Toast should be a maximum of 1 minute.
